Filipino Community Leaders Unite in Vienna to Plan Prestigious "Pamana V" Festival Parade Celebrating 80 Years of Philippine-Austrian Relations

VIENNA, AUSTRIA — On Monday, June 29, 2026, Filipino community leaders, regional representatives, and heads of various civic, religious, and interest groups across Austria gathered at the Parish Hall of Pfarre Leopoldau (Leopoldauer Platz 12, 1210 Vienna) for a strategic briefing and get-together. The meeting marked the official countdown and planning phase for the highly anticipated Pamana V Philippine-Austrian Festivals Parade, scheduled to take over the heart of Vienna on September 5, 2026.

This year’s grand cultural showcase holds historic significance as it highlights a major milestone: the 80th Year of Philippine-Austrian Bilateral Relations.

The prestigious event is spearheaded by the European Network of Filipino Diaspora Austria (ENFID-Austria), under the distinguished patronage of the Embassy of the Philippines in Vienna and organized in close cooperation with the City of Vienna.

A Spectacular Cultural Journey Through Vienna

The Pamana V Parade promises to be a vibrant display of the rich cultural heritage, unity, and active integration of the Filipino diaspora in Austria. On September 5, the parade will wind through some of Vienna’s most iconic landmarks, starting from the historic Stephansplatz and culminating at the majestic Votivkirche (1010 Vienna).

Attendees can look forward to traditional Filipino festival dances, colorful costumes, music, and collaborative programs that celebrate eight decades of deep-rooted friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between the Philippines and Austria.

ENFID-Austria and its partners are officially inviting all interested Filipino organizations, cultural groups, civic associations, and interest groups to take part in this monumental celebration.
